Pick 4 is Oregon’s quick-fire lottery game offering big prizes for matching four numbers. Draws take place four times a day at 1pm, 4pm, 7pm and 10pm and the prizes you win are dependent on the amount you wager on your numbers. How to Play Pick 4

The clue is in the game title- players only need to choose four numbers from 0 to 9, whilst also being able to choose the same number more than once. If you can’t decide on which numbers to play then you can opt for a quick-pick when entering the draw and they will be chosen randomly for you.

The next step is to choose which Match Choice Option to go for. There are seven different options indicated by letters:

The type of Match Choice option you can enter does depend on which numbers you have chosen. A player cannot play Option B if all four numbers chosen are the same or Option F or Option G when all three numbers are the same.

The final step is choosing how much to wager for your ticket. The wager you place on your four numbers directly influences the size of the prize you can win- the bigger the wager, the bigger the prize. The minimum wager is $1.00 and the maximum is $7.00, and players can bet any amount in between in $.50 intervals.

Pick 4 Prizes

Each of the seven Match Choice options has its own set of prizes based on the wager placed on your numbers. If the four numbers on your ticket are all different then there are also different payouts and odds than if you chose four numbers which had repeats of the same number. See the tables below for the odds and payouts for each option.

Option A- Match all 4 in the exact order

Option A provides the largest prizes of all the Pick 4 game options, but with that comes the longest odds. Players in this category are aiming to match the four numbers drawn in the exact same positions as those on their ticket.

Example $.50 wager $1.00 wager Odds
1234 $2,500 $5,000 1 in 10,000

Option B- Match all 4 in any order

Option B can be complicated as the odds and prizes differ based on the numbers chosen. If you have chosen a single number more than once then this will give you better prizes should you win, but also more difficult odds.

Example $.50 wager $1.00 wager Odds
1234 $125 $250 1 in 417
These prizes and odds are if all four of your numbers are different
1123 $250 $500 1 in 833
These prizes and odds are if one of your numbers is repeated
1122 $500 $1,000 1 in 1,667
These prizes and odds are if you have two sets of the same number
1112 $750 $1,500 1 in 2,500
These prizes and odds are if the same number is used three times

Option C- Match any 2, 3 or 4 numbers in the exact order

Option C, also known as the Eazy 4 combo, offers prizes for matching the numbers drawn in the exact same positions, starting with just two numbers.

Match Example $.50 wager $1.00 wager Odds
All 4 in the exact order 1234 $1,000 $2,000 1 in 10,000
First 3 in the exact order 123X $75 $150 1 in 1,111
Last 3 in the exact order X234 $75 $150 1 in 1,111
First 2 in the exact order 12XX $3 $6 1 in 111
Middle 2 in the exact order X23X $3 $6 1 in 123
Last 2 in the exact order XX34 $3 $6 1 in 111

Options D and E- Match the first or last 3 numbers in the exact order

Much like option A, these choices offer some of the higher prizes for your wager but also some of the longer odds available in Pick 4

Example $.50 wager $1.00 wager Odds
123X $300 $600 1 in 1,000
X234 $300 $600 1 in 1,000

Option F and G- Match the first or last 3 numbers in any order

Like option B, the prizes and odds for these two choices depends on whether you have chosen all different numbers or whether you have chosen the same number more than once.

Example $.50 wager $1.00 wager Odds
123X $50 $100 1 in 167
These prizes and odds are if all three of your numbers are different
1123 $100 $200 1 in 333
These prizes and odds are if two of your numbers are identical
X123 $50 $100 1 in 167
These prizes and odds are if all three of your numbers are different
X112 $100 $200 1 in 333
These prizes and odds are if two of your numbers are identical
